Convenience
Despite Potomac's peaceful, country-like setting, access to the hustle outside is only minutes away. Potomac Falls is about thirteen miles from downtown Washington DC, is conveniently located close to three major airports, the Metro transit system, and the areas major highway networks I-270 and I-495. Fine public and private schools, shopping malls, restaurants, recreational opportunities, and other amenities are nearby. It is less than one mile from C&O National Park and also within walking distance of Potomac Village, which offers two major grocery stores, the post office, a public library, a community center, churches, restaurants, banks, and other businesses.
Public transportation is nearby too.
- Montgomery County Ride-On bus service has several stops in and nearby Potomac Village.
- Metro stations on the Red Line: Bethesda,and Grosvenor are each about 25 minutes away.
- Amtrak and Marc trains can be accessed at either Union Station or New Carrollton
Three major airports are within an hour of Potomac Falls.
Bus services to New York, Boston, Charlotte, and other major cities can be caught locally. The Vamoose Bus, Bolt Bus, and Megabus provide inexpensive transport to and from Washington DC, or Bethesda, Maryland.
