Potomac Falls, about 10 miles outside Washington DC, is conveniently located close to three major airports, Metro, and highways I-270 and I-495. It is less than one mile from C&O National Park and also within walking distance of Potomac Village, which offers two major grocery stores, the post office, a public library, a community center, churches, restaurants, banks, and other businesses.

Despite Potomac Falls’ peaceful, country-like setting, major transportation routes are only minutes away. The Capital Beltway (I-495) and both the Clara Barton and George Washington Parkways are less than a 15-minute drive. Interstate I-270 towards Gaithersburg and Frederick is 15 minutes away off Falls Road.Public transportation is nearby too. Montgomery County Ride On bus service has several stops in and nearby Potomac Village. Metro stations on the Red Line: Tenleytown,and Grosvenor are each about 25 minutes away.
Three major airports are within an hour of Potomac Falls. Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport are each about a half hour away. Baltimore-Washington Marshall Airport is about a 45 minute drive.
Amtrak trains can be accessed at either Union Station, or New Carrollton, each about a 30-40 minute drive away.
Bus services to New York, Boston, Charlotte and other major cities can be caught locally. The Vamoose bus, Bolt Bus and Megabus provide inexpensive transport to and from Washington DC, or Bethesda, Maryland.

One of our greatest treasures is the C&O National Park,, which borders the Potomac Falls neighborhood and whose visitor’s center and Great Falls overlook are one mile away. While thousands of visitors drive to the park from all across the region, it is literally in our backyard. Walk or bike on the canal towpath, or hike one of the Billy Goat Trails, and see abundant wildlife and beauty only moments from your front door.Some of the region’s premier country clubs are very close by. Congressional Country Club, TPC Potomac at Avenel, and Bethesda Country Club are a few of the
many choices for outstanding golf, tennis, swimming and more. The Montgomery County Public Golf Course on Falls Road is a 5-minute drive from Potomac Falls. Potomac Swim and Tennis Club is a short distance away on Oaklyn Drive.
Cabin John Regional Park features a year-round ice skating facility, ball fields, tennis courts, public picnic grounds, hiking trails, and an elaborate playground. A
miniature train carries visitors of all ages on a 10-minute tour of the park.

The town of Bethesda, and the developments at Rockville Town Square, Washingtonian Center and Kentlands, all within a thirty minute drive, offer movie theaters, restaurants and stores in a pleasant outdoor setting.
